FAQ
I’ve never done yoga before. Is it okay to join a class?
Our instructors are trained to support beginners, and many students are brand new to yoga when they join. We encourage you to go at your own pace and provide plenty of cues and props.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear breathable, stretchable clothing—like leggings, shorts, or a fitted tee. Bring a water bottle and, if you have one, your own yoga mat. We also have mats, blocks, straps, and other props available in the studio.
I’m not flexible—can I still do yoga?
Flexibility is a result of yoga, not a requirement. Our classes are designed to improve your flexibility gradually, and we’ll offer adjustments that meet you where you are.
Can yoga help me recover from martial arts training?
Many of our students are martial artists or athletes. Yoga aids in recovery, joint mobility, balance, and breath control—crucial elements for peak performance.
Do you offer yoga for stress and anxiety?
Our restorative, gentle, and breath-centered yoga sessions are ideal for relieving mental tension, improving emotional regulation, and promoting deeper sleep.
How often should I practice yoga to see results?
Two to three classes a week can bring noticeable benefits to posture, mood, and flexibility. Even one consistent class per week helps support physical and mental well-being.
Are there age restrictions for your yoga classes?
We welcome adults of all ages, typically 18 and above. We also offer specialized guidance for older adults and modifications to accommodate specific needs or injuries.
Will I be doing the same poses every class?
While we revisit core poses to build familiarity, each class introduces variations, sequencing, and themes. You’ll stay challenged and engaged as your practice evolves.
What makes your yoga studio different from others in Plano?
We’re part of a martial arts and performance training center, so our yoga offerings are designed to complement real-world movement goals, not just aesthetics. Plus, our community is uniquely supportive, with a strong blend of discipline, compassion, and personal growth.
