FAQ
What prior experience do I need?
Elite membership is for those with at least one year of competitive wrestling. We evaluate each applicant based on skill and training commitment.
How often are practices?
Training occurs four weeknights (Mon–Thu, 6 pm–8 pm) and a Saturday morning sparring clinic. Attendance is important, but flexibility is accommodated with notice.
Is competition required?
Competing is encouraged but optional. Athletes may train at Elite level for growth and skill, regardless of competition participation.
What results can I expect?
Athletes typically report big improvements in takedown accuracy, fitness, recovery speed, and mental readiness in 8–12 weeks. Competition performance often follows within the season.
What gear is required?
Wrestling shoes, headgear, mouthguard, moisture-wicking gear, and club uniform top. Club pro shop and rental options available.
How is athlete safety handled?
Daily skin checks, mandatory foot hygiene, regular concussion education, refusal of contact if injury suspected, and regular conditioning.
Can parents observe training?
Parents may view the designated evening clinic space. Some video review sessions are private to protect students’ strategies.
Are coaches qualified?
All coaching staff carry national wrestling certifications, collegiate-level experience, and youth athlete coaching credentials, including CPR.
How does this differ from general club training?
Elite levels include advanced technique, live-time rounding, targeted S&C and pre/post-season planning, and mental performance coaching—going far beyond standard club practice.
